Supercharged Hot Chocolate

Prep time: 10 minutes

Serves: 2 or double recipe for 4

A creamy and delicious supercharged hot chocolate packed with goodness!

DID YOU KNOW?

Chocolate dates back to the ancient Mayans and even to the earlier ancient Olmecs of southern Mexico. Technically not the chocolate we know today but more the raw form of chocolate.

Cacao currency:

In both Mayan and Aztec cultures chocolate (cacao beans) was a delicacy and was actually used as a form of currency.

As a little ode to World Chocolate Day, I am sharing this delicious dairy free, refined sugar free and preservative free supercharged hot chocolate. You are definitely going to want to make this one!

I have teamed up with one of my favourite iconic local SA brands - Nomu to create some delicious, nutritious and nourishing plant based recipes inspired by their range of incredible products. This dish is packed with spices from Nomu and they have a great selection of spices, herbs, cook's salt and local olive oil.
